Dietmar Baum and Tini Papamichalis’ exhibition at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival
With their “Tango Dies Slowly“ art series, Dietmar Baum and Tini Papamichalis are showcasing an unconventional international photography collection at this year’s music festival. Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a different world between 11 July and 24 August. The artists and their works convey the ambivalence of the tango, a dance that unites beauty and misery, with images of the metropolis of Buenos Aires. They have used Hasselblad camera technology to create a multifaceted and unconventional photo collage of Buenos Aires.
The photographic images communicate subtle messages in quiet statements. All of them have an underlying mood of elegance and decay: reflecting the everyday give-and-take between hunger for capitalism and hunger for life. A life that is like the tango - sad, sensuous, erotic, violent and quiet.
The exhibition is supplemented by works from the art series ArtArktis, Kia Lordship and Black Gold, all of which represent the intrinsic link between art, nature and culture. Various fine art photography projects spectacularly portray the uniqueness of human life and nature by way of new, unique and emotive photographic imagery.
With the premiere of “Tango Dies Slowly“, Dietmar Baum and Tini Papamichalis are setting a new benchmark in photographic art by manifesting their vision and creativity in a new philosophy.
We look forward to seeing you at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
